Most people often
judge other people by the look in their eyes or on their face.
Without knowing
it, we make assumptions about someone's character by
their
physical appearance.
In the Chinese art of physiognomy, these assumptions
are not
coincidental. Each feature,
line and shape has a meaning which affects
our
character, relationships,
and destiny.
Physiognomy is the
ancient Chinese art of reading and understanding a
person's nature
and future by identifying certain characteristics in the face,
body structure and
hands. Over thousands of years, the Chinese have
developed one of
the most comprehensive systems for reading fortunes in
people's faces.
It is regarded as an extremely popular Chinese tradition. It is a
tool to understand
yourself, as well as others, through the lines, shapes and
features of your
face and hands.
A word of caution
is probably necessary, though. Since your basic physical features are unlikely
to change, you are given a specific reading. But this does not mean that
you are tied to this reading for life. One of the main arguments that was,
and still is targeted against physiognomy readings is that people try to
fulfil the reading which is given to them, instead of taking control of
their own lives by understanding the implications of the reading. It has
been said that a compassionate or thoughtful act can and will override
a negative forecast. Not only will the circumstances of your life change,
but certain aspects of your physical appearance may change as well
